The LED light bar is the foremost representative of off-road activities. They help you see clearly on trails, woods, or any dimly-lit place. This article will teach you how to install a LED light bar on a truck if you crave it. Installing a light bar will vary based on truck type and existing lighting setup, but these instructions will give you a process overview.

Installing a light bar on the truck
Before starting the installation, please test it and ensure your LED light bar is working correctly.
First, connect the LED light bar to the truck battery. The red wire goes to the battery's positive terminal, and the black wire goes to the negative terminal. Make sure everything is connected correctly, then turn on the lights.
Note that when disconnecting the LED light bar, remove the black wire first to reduce the chance of shorting the battery.
Step 1
Always disconnect the battery before working on the truck's electrical system.
Step 2
Put the wiring harness in the engine compartment and connect where you want the wiring to point.
Step 3
To determine the exact mounting position of the LED light bar, you must first pre-assemble it with the bracket. Then place it on the truck's roof and use a tape measure to make sure it's centered. Once you have found the best place to mount the LED light bar, use masking tape to mark the exact drilling points and bracket hole locations.
Step 4
Make sure you don't damage anything behind the mounting location when drilling the holes. After hitting the holes, put the bolts and nuts in and ensure everything is connected properly. Then connect the negative and positive wires to the light bar and the on/off. Most LED light bar kits come with fasteners and special washers.
Do not fully tighten any bolts and fasteners if adjustments are required later.
Step 5
Connect the black ground wire from the harness to the negative battery terminal. Connect the red power wire from the harness to the positive battery terminal.
Step 6
Test the LED light bar. Press the switch and make sure it lights up. Finally, align the light in the desired direction and tighten all mounting hardware.
